Epilepsy, anxiety, chronic pain, insomnia, acne, inflammation, pain relief, nausea, and migraine. Also aids in managing symptoms of Multiple Sclerosis, cancer, arthritis, diabetic complications associated with swelling/nerve pain, and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.
Short answer is no. It does change your consciousness. You may feel mellow or unstressed, experience less pain, and be more comfortable in general.
When using a CBD tincture, the best method is administering the oil sublingually — that is, dropping the liquid under your tongue and letting it sit for up to 30-60 seconds. When placed under the tongue, the CBD can completely bypass your digestive system and enter directly into your bloodstream.
If your doctor doesn't provide a recommendation, it's best to start with a smaller dosage and gradually increase it.
For humans, this could mean starting with 20 to 40 mg a day. After a week, increase this amount by 5 mg. Continue this until you feel that it's effectively treating your symptoms.
For pets, start with 1-5 mg twice a day for every 10lbs of the animals weight, and increase if needed.
While ongoing research is necessary to understand tolerance and dosage guidelines, some evidence indicates that people can safely tolerate doses of up to 1,500 mg per day.
It all depends on your body, how much you take, and how you take it. But generally, the effects of CBD can last from 2 to 6 hours.
